Booking Conditions

General Booking & Cancellation Conditions

1. When booking your accommodation, you are entering into a legal contract and are legally responsible for paying the full accommodation cost and following the Terms and Conditions as set out below. It is strongly recommended that you affect holiday insurance cover in case you need to cancel or curtail these arrangements at any time.

2. Bookings are only valid with a minimum non-returnable deposit per week. The deposit to be paid within 5 days of booking. The booking process is not complete until accepted in writing or email. The balance of rent is to be paid at least four weeks before the start of reservation. If paying by card there is a 3% surcharge on credit card transactions (MasterCard and Visa), no charge for debit cards. We do Not accept Amex or American Express cards.

3. The person who signs the Booking Form is responsible for the booking and by signing warrants that he/she is over 21 years of age and that the party details are exactly as stated on the Booking Form.

4. The applicant must personally stay at the accommodation through out the holiday and is solely responsible for the conduct of the whole party. The accommodation must not be sub-let and is strictly restricted to the number of persons stated on the booking form. No more than the stated number may stay at the property, use its facilities or its grounds.

5. In the event of cancellation the hirer must notify Deloraine Holiday Homes (D.H.H) immediately and then confirm in writing. Deposits are non-refundable. If the cancellation date is 4 weeks or more before the date of arrival we will not request full payment. Cancellations with less than four weeks notice will incur a full charge; this charge will be refunded if we are successful in re-letting the accommodation.

6. Bookings from teenage parties not forming part of a family unit will not be accepted. Single sex groups are only accepted by prior written arrangement, e.g. Hen or Stag.

7. If circumstances beyond control involve the cancellation of a booking by us, we will endeavour to provide suitable alternative accommodation, but any liability shall be strictly limited to the refund of all money paid.

8. D.H.H reserve the right to refuse any booking, which, in the businesses opinion, may be unsuitable, either by reason of numbers, composition, false declaration or any other reason.

9. Units are normally offered for a minimum of seven days from 4pm on the day of arrival to 10am on the day of departure, other times of arrival by arrangement only. The proprietors or their agents reserve the right to enter any accommodation at any reasonable time.

10. Children may be accommodated, subject to full parental/guardian responsibility, the strict avoidance of noise and nuisance to other guests and proprietors. With the restriction to garden paths and main lawn. No ball games of any kind are permitted in the accommodation the garden or in the grounds.

11. The use of the grounds is conditional upon no cutting of, or damage to wildlife, plants, fences or stonework, No lighting of fires, and No use of weapons of any kind. For safety reasons, gas, liquid or solid fuel, or related appliances using the same must not be stored in the premises.

12. Breakages, loss or damage to the premises, fixtures, fittings, decoration, contents or facilities must be reported at the time and paid for before vacating. Guests should report immediately any maintenance problems and not attempt remedial action themselves. D.H.H reserves the right to charge for all repairs, losses or replacements necessitated by the negligent act or omission of any of your party.

13. Group bookings of more than six people and bookings with multiple accommodations will be charged a Bond of £100 per week. The bond will be returned if these conditions of booking are fully met upon departure, the bond to be issued within 30 days of the departure date. D.H.H reserves the right to deduct any amount from the bond if these conditions are broken.

14. D.H.H cannot accept liability for loss of or damage to personal effects brought onto the property by visitors, including all types of vehicles. D.H.H regrets no pets or animals of any kind can be allowed on the premises. D.H.H has a non-smoking policy throughout its accommodation.

15. Electricity is not included in the rent and is charged at current supplier's rates, and must be paid for before vacating. Heating is not supplied in Birch cottage or in Brant’s & Claife’s shower rooms. Towels are not included in the rent but can be hired from us at cost.

16. You are requested to leave the self-catering accommodation in a clean and tidy condition, as found. D.H.H reserves the right to make a charge for extra cleaning if the accommodation is not left in a clean and tidy condition.
